Acharya & B.M. Reddy College of Pharmacy (ABMRCP) was founded in the year 1992. The College is accredited by NBA (National Board of Accreditation). ABMRCP is the only College that offers accredited B.Pharm and D.Pharm programmes in the whole of South India.

ABMRCP offers a wide range of programmes in Pharmacy - Diploma in Pharmacy, Bachelor of Pharmacy, Pharm D, four specialisations in Master of Pharmacy and Doctoral Studies leading to Ph.D

Praised as the No.1 college in the field of Pharmacy education by Dr. Reddy's Lab, its teaching faculty is one of the most eminent and its laboratory infrastructure - world class.

ABMRCP’s initiatives towards collaborating with industry for academic objectives is seeing it approach leading pharmaceutical corporations such as Biocon, Dr. Reddy’s Lab, Astra Zeneca, Himalaya Drugs, Cipla, Sun Pharma, Pharmasia, Novozymes, Glaxo Smithkline, Cadila, Lupin, Wockhardt, Aventis, Nicholas Piramal, etc.

It reaches out to the suffering in the society by conducting medical camps, blood donation camps and even organ donation camps.

• An M.Pharm and Ph.D (Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Prof. Divakar is a renowned biotechnologist and pharmacist. He has trained over 600 pharmacists to emerge as competent professionals during his long academic career.
• Prof. Divakar’s area of interest and expertise are in Enzymology, Antibiotic research, Bioinformatics, Process biotechnology, Bioengineering, Nanotechnology, Computer Drug design and TQM in pharmacy education. He has to his credit research projects in investigations on production of alkaline protease by a newly isolated thermoactinomycetes thalpophilus, bioconversion of steroids, among many others.

• Pharmacological Evaluation of Holarhena antidysentrica (wall) for hypoglycemic activity in Streptozocin induced Diabetic Rats.
• Evaluation of Antidiarrhoeal effect of fruit pulp extract of Terminalia belerica.
• Antiulcer activity of fruits of Terminalia chebula in experimentally induced ulcer in Rats.
• Analgesic, Anti-inflammatory, Antipyretic and Antidiarrhoeal activity of Berberis aristata.
• Investigation of the Antidiabetic activity of root of Celosia argentea Linn. in Streptozocin induced diabetic in Rats.
• Anti-inflammatory & analgesic effects of stem bark of Tectona grandis Linn.
• Dioretic and Saluretic activity of hydro alcoholic extracts of roots and flowers of Tectona grandis Linn.
• Formulation and Evaluation of Transdermal film of anti-asthmatic drug.
• Formulation and Evaluation of bucco-mucco adhesive film of buspiron hydrochloride.

• Consistently ABMRCP students score Ranks in the University Examinations - true testimony for the academic excellence. In the last year alone, the students of the college have secured 29 ranks University and Board level examinations and the M.Pharm students have secured 14 distinctions.

• The college has over 25 eminent teachers of whom 23 are PG / Doctoral qualified. ABMRCP’s initiatives towards enriching its spectrum of pharmacy domain is seeing it moving towards associating with Research Centres and Drug Testing Laboratories who are equipped with cutting-edge technologies such as LC-MS, GC-MS, NMR-Spectrophotometer, FTIR, HPLC, HPTLC, Auto Analyser, Automated Sample Processor, Scanning Electron Microscope, PCR / PC-TR, Fluorescent Microscopes, Fermentors, Pilot Scale Tablet Manufacturing Unit, etc.
• Faculty of ABMRCP have published 44 Papers in International journals
• Faculty of ABMRCP have presented 19 Papers in International and 298 Papers in National Conferences / Seminars
• Recipient of Research and PG Grants from AICTE and RGUHS of over 0.50 Crore rupees.
