Academic Focus
Computers have come a long way from being mere calculators to lifedriving devices, thanks to the inroads in the digital technology. The Programme gives the students a firm footing into the intricacies of this technology such as circuits, design, structures, languages, processors, operating systems, database management, simulation, modelling etc. which are at the heart of any application of computer.

Learning Facilities - Laboratories
• C, C++ Lab
• Application Lab
• Micro Processor Lab
• Computer Networking Lab
• DBMS Lab
• Internet Lab
• Graphics Lab
• Project Work Lab

The laboratories in the Department are equipped with hardware and software that are compliant with industry standards in terms of technology and environment. Airconditioned and well furnished, these have uninterrupted power supply systems. The computers in the laboratories are networked using switches and routers. The computers at Acharya Institute of Technology operate in a WiFi environment, with a high-speed internet connectivity.

Curricular Activities
The departmental student club 'Lakshya' , dedicated to further the knowledge of its members has initiated a test of knowledge of C and C++, conducted Aptitude Tests, mock Group Discussions and mock interviews to improve the placement prospects. A Mock PAC Test (Placement Aptitude Council) Test is held regularly to enable the students in familiarizing and guide them in the placement process.
