Academic Focus
This program is an intelligent combination of two basic streams of technology, combining in it both the analog and digital aspects. At a time when more and more applications are heading the electronic route, a student studying this stream will be benefited with a good foundation as well as a grip over the emerging technologies of future. Students will be exposed to a wide spectrum of technology application in both electrical and electronics including computer application, networking etc. to give them a strong edge in the multifunctional capabilities of tomorrow.

Learning Facilities – Laboratories
• Analog Electronics Lab
• Logic Design Lab
• Microcontrollers Lab
• Power Electronics Lab
• DC Machines and Synchronous Machines Lab
• Circuits Simulation and Measurements Lab
• Transformers and Induction machines Lab
• Control System Lab
• Relays and High voltage Lab
• Power Simulation Lab

All the laboratories are well equipped to conduct the experiments even beyond the university curriculum.

Activities
The department is providing ample opportunities for the students to participate in curricular, co›curricular and extra›curricular activities under the departmental forum 'ELE X CSO'

The department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering takes additional interest in the holistic development of the students of AIT and has taken lead in organizing social welfare activities through NSS such as Blood Donation Camp, Rural Healthcare Camp etc.

Industry Interface
The faculty have developed useful linkages with industry in the field and have initiated a number of interactive sessions, guest lectures and industrial visits, visits to Generating Stations (Hydro, Thermal and Nuclear) and Receiving Stations (HV DC and 400 kV) to benefit the students of Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
