The Diploma Programmes offered by the Polytechnic are approved by the AICTE, Recognised by the Government of Karnataka and the Directorate of Technical Education, Karnataka.
In the decade and half since its founding, Acharya Polytechnic has been successful in giving vocational competence to the aspiring youth of the city and enable them to find rewarding technical careers. The students are given a good grounding in technical skills, current and relevant knowledge and understanding of the processes of industry and manufacturers, they are honed to be flexible, competitive and multi-skilled.
Acharya Polytechnic’s academic excellence has been recognised in the numerous placements achieved and also in the many coveted projects it has executed for the industry.
Apart from the technical subjects under each stream of engineering, the students are taught English Communication, Applied Mathematics and Applied Science that enable them to understand and grasp the technical issues very quickly.
Acharya Polytechnic, in its modern workshops and fully equipped laboratories has an incomparable range of machines and equipment. The students are encouraged to use them extensively to gain hands-on experience by the experienced and industry-trained faculty. Their inquisitive and innovative qualities are encouraged through many unique and innovative projects, demonstrations, industry visits, etc. Some of the projects executed by our students have won accolades and prizes in competitive events.
The library has rich resources & sufficient infrastructure. The library offers services such as Reference Service, Referral Service, User Guidance Service, Circulation Service including Inter Library Loan and Document Delivery Service, Weekly display of recent editions of periodicals and books including E-mail distribution of these lists to users on our mailing list, Bibliographic Service, Xerox Service etc. Current awareness service provided comprises of regular display of xerox copies of articles published by the faculty and students, in various periodicals.
The library has been using the EASYLIB an Integrated Library Management software package with all the modules for library housekeeping operations. The library Online Catalogue database provides access to books (Bibliographic Information) and information. 1000 back volumes of periodicals are also available for reference. Using EASYLIB OPAC, users can search the Library Online Catalogue by Author,
Title, Subject, and keywords.
Also, the users can know the latest additions of periodicals and books and the status of a document (whether on shelf or on issue). Reservation of a book can be done Online.

A member of many Engineering Associations in the State, his knowledge and experience is constantly utilised by academic regulatory bodies in the State.

He has undergone Technical Teachers Training in TTTI Chennai and is specially trained in pneumatics. He has authored three books on Thermal Engineering and Hydraulics & Pneaumatics (Lab Manual).
An experienced institutional builder, he is associated with Acharya Polytechnic since its inception and has played a vital role in its growth and expansion.
