Eligibility for Admission
Pass in 10+2 / Higher Secondary (HS) / Pre University (PUC) / 'A' Level (with 12 years of schooling) or its equivalent with English as one of the languages. Shall have secured a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the following : Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Science. AIT admits students as per prevailing rules and regulations of VTU.
Academic Focus
The construction industry is suffering with a shortage of skilled/technically qualified supervisory/administrative staffs, leading to poor quality of construction. Therefore, this programme is designed and instituted by VTU, to bridge this need where knowledge of construction materials and process management is enhanced.
Career Scope
The graduates of engineering in construction technology and management have immense potential of employability in the rampant growing construction industry in housing, transport, aviation, naval dock yards etc, apart, to pursue higher studies in the same field of engineering in IITs.
