Acharya Campus - Distinct & Different

Student-centric campus
Acharya is a campus that is a learning home for over 5000 students of its eleven institutions. It is a mini township by itself, spread across 120 acres of land in the outskirts of Bangalore. Located just a few minutes drive away from top-notch corporates, it rests atop a raised scenic spot, surrounded by gentle and gradient landforms.

The design of the campus is very student centric, predominantly pedestrian with vehicular traffic secluded from the learning zones. The Academic, Residential, Student Activity and Landscaped Zones of the campus are interestingly isolated and integrated with one another.

Solid and Void
The architecture reflects cheerfulness inside-out with refreshing colour schemes, shapes, forms, levels and spaces. The concept of solid and void permeates every constructed area bringing with it the feel of academic seriousness and intellectual freedom. The design emphasis is on breaking the monotony with interlocked walls, open spaces, nooks, corridors, courtyards that encourage one-to-one contact and lively interaction.
Unity of Purpose in Design Diversity
Each of the dozen buildings in the campus are unique in itself. If on the one hand, you have the Initiation Block that exudes the comfort of a traditional home with tiled roof and centre courtyard of landscaped garden, on the other extreme, you find the 500-seat Seminar Hall that’s completely modern, highly techy and futuristic in style, design and furniture, with a aqueduct running over the roof. The 10,000+seating stadium is truly Olympic size that’s the centre-stage for extra-curricular activity. The snugly food court is both inviting and invigorating, offering an eating-out experience in the open landscaped area.

Encouraging academics, Love for nature
The class rooms are large, airy and well lit, tucked away from noise. The Student Activity Centre, in contrast is compact, cheerful and engaging. The laboratories are designed to enable explorative activity, ensure hygiene and prevent accident hazards. The campus is completely wired with WiFi enablement. The concern for environment is innate to the design. Vast afforestation, rain water harvest, a man-made 4-acre lake with water treatment plant, use of alternative energy sources, ban on use of environment harming substances reflect this concern. In the short time that the campus has come up in, it has been awe-inspiring for both national and international visitors.
