The Programme

The M.Tech program in Computer Science & Engineering (VTU) is offered to the students who are interested in advance learning and research in the areas of Computer Science and Information Technology. The applicants to this programme are expected to already have a background in Computer Science as this Post Graduation programme emphasizes on advance topics such as Wireless Networks, Advances in Storage Area Networks, Advances in Operating Systems and Information Security. The programme is flexible enough to allow a student to specialize in any topic of interest by taking elective courses and working on a research project in that area.

Eligibility for Admission

Admission to this course shall be open to the candidates who have passed prescribed qualifying examination (see the list given below) with not less than 50% of the marks in aggregate of all the semesters/years of degree examination. The Student should have qualified in GATE.

However, in the case of candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST category marks shall not be less than 45%. The candidates seeking admission to this course shall possess one of the following Bachelor Degrees:
