Eligibility for Admission

Pass in B.E. or B.Tech [TCE, ECE, ETC, IT] or in relevant field from any University recognized as equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. The Student should have appeared in GATE / PGCET.

The Programme

This course is a study of digital information systems including wireless and computer networks and multimedia information systems. Topics such as network layers, routing, congestion control, image and video compression standards such as JPEG and MPEG, and security aspects are studied. A student undergoing this program will be able to identify the main elements of a digital communication system, understand the source formatting, sampling, and be able to quantify the performance of baseband digital systems in terms of bandwidth requirements, intersymbol interference and bit-error rates which are the key areas in the communication industry today. And these offer extensive career opportunities in both India and abroad.
