      Objectives

To instill and develop in the students an attitude for nursing, to provide necessary knowledge and  skills to give comprehensive   nursing care to the patients in all types of illness."

To develop skill in recognizing and intelligently interpreting the physical, mental and emotional manifestations of illness and be able   to plan individual nursing care to patients based on their unique needs.

To help the students work in mutual cooperation with medical and paramedical personnel and participate in various programmes for   prevention of diseases and promotion of health in the community.

To help the student integrate principles of hygiene and ethical and moral code involved in the practice of nursing.

To prepare students for teamwork and to enable them to tread the path of rewarding careers, worldwide.

To develop students as individuals who are sensitive to right of others and conscious of her/his duties and responsibilities to her/his own profession, fellowmen and the country.

Acquiring the ability to research and the application of advances in scientific knowledge to the relevant fields of work.
Founded in the year 2003, Acharya’s NR School of Nursing offers the Diploma in Nursing Programme.The College is approved by Karnataka Nursing Council (KNC) and Indian Nursing Council (INC) and is recognised by the Government of Karnataka.

The Programme

The programmes in Nursing are designed to develop an attitude in the students, provide necessary knowledge and skills to recognise and intelligently interpret the physical, mental and emotional manifestation of illness and prepare them to plan individual nursing care based on their unique needs.

The programmes also help develop abilities to work with other specialist medical and paramedical personnel, devise and demonstrate disease prevention and health promotion programmes, integrate principles of hygiene, ethical and moral codes are aspects taught in the programme. On a higher scale, tools to research, apply advances in scientific field and technology are built in Nursing programmes.

Career Scope
Caring services in both public and private sectors including day care, health care and residential care, Nursery, Primary Schools, Family Centres, Hospitals, Voluntary sectors, Corporate houses, Resorts, Retreats, the opportunities are limitless on a global scale. As India emerges as the health-care tourism destination, employment opportunities to professional nurses, only abound in future.
