Global Human Resource Development Center (GHRDC) has conducted a survey in engineering colleges across India. The survey was based on the infrastructure (physical, academic) (365), faculty, research consultancy, MDP and others (505),curriculum and delivery systems (310), and placement (domestic and international)/industry interface (470) for the grand total of 1650.

The top most engineering college, according to the surveyors is IEC College of Engineering and Technology, Surajpur , Uttar Pradesh with the highest score of 824.25. The other engineering colleges namely Chitkara Institute of Engineering and Technology, Punjab, Jagan Nath Gupta Institute of Engineering and Technology, Rajastan and Dri Ramdeobaba Kamla Nehru Engineering College, Maharashtra are in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions respectively.

Acharya Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, Karnataka has scored 173.86 for infrastructure (physical, academic), 124.62 for faculty, research consultancy, MDP and others, 227.50 for admission, curriculum and delivery system, and 257.10 for placement (domestic and international) /industry interface with the total of 783.08 and has secured tenth rank all over India.

The road connecting Hesaraghatta Main Road to Acharya Institutes was inaugurated by Sri Sri Shivakumar Swami of Siddaganga Math in the month of September. The road has been named as Acharya Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a scholar and professor of Philosophy. This stretch of road has been developed by the management of Acharya Institutes at a cost of 6 crores.

Speaking on the occasion, which was also an orientation programme to the freshers of BE and Diploma program, Swamiji urged the students to take good care of short-term goals in order to realize their long-term goals. Completing each day's work on the same day without postponing it to the next day. This includes attending classes regularly and completing the work assigned by the teachers on time with honesty. Continuing, Swamiji said that the 21st century has ushered all things technological, but there is a conspicuous lack of ethics across the board. This significantly calls for greater emphasis on values, he said.

The dignitaries present also spoke on the importance of discipline in the life of a student. Dr. K Balaveera Reddy, Former Vice Chancellor, VTU urged the students not to get addicted to wrong habits such as drugs and asked them to take their four years of education very seriously. In addition to this, HR, International affiliation praised the hard work and commitments of Sri. Premnath Reddy towards building the institution into a global platform for the students and giving them a future stepping stone. Sri Premnath Reddy in his speech informed about his plan to establish new institutions abroad which includes Sri Lanka, Maldives and Mauritius. He also spoke about donating Rs.1 lakh every year to Siddaganga Math, Tumkur. He expressed his deliberate wish to make Acharya into a global educational institute. With vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and felicitation of Swamiji, the programme came to an end.
