The student ISTE chapter Acharya Polytechnic was inaugurated by Dr. N. R.Shetty, President, ISTE on 11th of Janauary 2010.Addressing the students on this occassion Dr. Shetty elaborated on the benefits of becoming an ISTE member. Apart from paper presentations and attending the conferences a meritous student will also be sponsored to persue his higher education not only in India but also in a foreign country he said.

Motivating the students to work to get the best student award installed by Indian Society of Technical Education, he told students to feel proud for being an 'Acharyan' as Acharya Institutes hosts maximum number of members for ISTE. With this kind of membership 'Acharya Institutes' can easily conduct a 'National Conference of ISTE' he suggested.

Dr. G.P.Prabhukumar, Principal, AIT, Dr. C.Vijaykumar, Director, HR & IA, Prof. H.S.S.Bhanumurthy, Principal( Administration) and Prof. R.C.Rajendra Prasad, Principal( Academics) were on the dias.
