Animation and Multimedia Design

Objective of Animation Design Course is to provide knowledge in basic Animation principles, Cell animation, Digital animation which is fundamental to the course. The course will enable students to understand the importance of Animation and application in various domains such as Educational Animation, Narrative film, Documentary film and TV Advertisements etc. Course will provide hands on experience of live industry projects through internships which enable students to know industry environment. Course will also introduce interdisciplinary courses which provide opportunity to expand the knowledge of the other domains.

Duration : 4 Years

Eligibility : Pass in 10+2 / Higher Secondary (HS) / Pre University (PUC) / 'A' Level (with 12 years of schooling) or its equivalent with English as one of the languages. Shall have secured a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in Core subjects.

Course Outcome
Upon course completion students will show their proficiency in applying principles of Animation and display skills in their projects. Students can demonstrate strong skills in animation design both manually and digitally. Students can understand and execute story, script, story board and animatics for given projects. Students can demonstrate considerable skills in 3D Models like characters, environments and props for a given projects. Students can display their knowledge in lighting, dynamics, compositing ad rendering of a given animation sequence. Students can show a strong sense of artistic skills, visual communication and research abilities.
