Duration : 3 Years

Eligibility : Pass in Pre-University / Higher Secondary / 10+2 / ‘A’ Level or equivalent of any recognized board or council in any discipline with English as one of the languages.

  • To encourage students to understand the historical developments, basic theories that facilitate understanding of Human Behavior in various contexts
  • To encourage students to understand and create awareness about mental health, educate people to seek referrals for Psychological Interventions
  • To encourage students to develop journalistic skills with sound theoretical and practical knowledge
  • To strengthen student’s critical and creative thinking as well as to be socially responsible while using media
  • To provide students forcontinue learning environment which enables them to find the better career path both at home and abroad
  • Educate students in both the artistry and utility of the English language through the study of literature and other contemporary forms of culture
  • Graduate students who are capable of performing research, analysis, and criticism of literary and cultural texts from different historical periods and genres

  • Students emerge with a comprehensive understanding of theoretical constructs and their applications
  • Students learn to carry-out basic researches, identify various phases and in research, choose appropriate design, analyze the available research data
  • Students may pursue master degree in Journalism and Mass communication varied disciplines
  • Students will be prepared for the media and other related industry professions
  • Enjoy reading the short stories, poems, novels and dramas
  • Through their internships and research projects, the students acquire hands-on experience facilitating career prospects

  • Through peer-based interactions and club activities, the students are kept up to date with emerging trends in the field
  • The students will have better understanding of individual, interpersonal and group processes, in relation to multiple contexts
  • Students will be able to prepare news and other media content
  • Perform the public relations and Corporate communication activities
  • Gain perceptive insights into the socio-political dynamics, the structuring points of view, the dominant ideology, hegemony, the prevailing common sense and communal underpinnings that mediate the writing, production, reception and survival of a work
  • Form an idea of the complex discipline of film studies and become trained to evaluate, interpret and make critiques of modern films


To go an extra mile in achieving excellence in Journalism and Mass communication teaching and to impart the best and useful industrial practices in the faculty and students. The effort is also to enable students to cope with the industry requirements so that they adapt themselves and soon after they graduate, they can meet media expectations.
