About iCAPP 2026

Clinical Pharmacy is a budding area of pharmacy practice in India. The Pharmacy Council of India introduced the Doctor of Pharmacy program in 2008 to increase the manpower available to expand Clinical Pharmacy Practice in the country. Although the program succeeded in its primary mission of expanding the manpower availability, the slow adoption of this new profession by hospitals has slowed down the provision of pharmaceutical care services to patient.

    Share your Original & unpublished research work.

Instructions For Poster Presentation

Posters must be designed to fit a poster board approximately 3 feet wide by 3 feet high (1:1 ratio) in portrait orientation, using Times New Roman font with sizes 32 and 48.

Rules and Regulations for Oral Presentation

Eligibility & Registration
  • Open to all registered Participants. (Undergraduates, Postgraduates, and Interns).
  • Only individual presentation
Presentation Format
  • Presentation: 4 minutes
  • Q&A: 2 minutes
  • The first 60 seconds must be an elevator pitch without slides.
  • Slides can be displayed after the first minute
  • Presentation should include a maximum of 20 slides that will automatically advance every 20 seconds.
  • Ensure your speech aligns with the slide transitions.
Submission
  • Submit presentation slides in PPTX (16:9 widescreen) format at least 24 hours before the competition.
Academic Integrity
  • All content must be original and in ENGLISH.
  • Plagiarism, foul language, unreferenced data, or fully AI-generated presentations will result in disqualification.

Abstract Submission Details For Oral & Poster Presentation:

The abstracts can be sent to icappacharya2026@gmail.com on or before 1st August 2026. The abstracts received after deadline will not be considered. The scientific committee will determine whether the abstract will be accepted for the presentation and the same will be communicated through email on 4th August 2026

Word Count: Maximum 250 words.

Your abstract should follow this template:

  1. Introduction: Briefly introduce the topic of your research.
  2. Aim and Objectives: Clearly state the purpose and goals of your study.
  3. Methods: Describe the methods used to conduct your research.
  4. Results: Summarize the key findings of your study.
  5. Conclusion: Brief your highlight and the significance of your research findings.
  6. Keywords: Include 3-5 relevant keywords (italicized).

3. NETWORKING

  • Participants will compete in teams and will be divided in teams of 5.
  • Groups will be formed by the organizing committee on random basis on the day of event.
  • Topics will be given on the day of networking event.
  • Each team will be given one topic to discuss.
  • Participants must manage their time effectively to address the topic given within the allocated group.
  • All participants are requested to be part of networking event.
  • Judges' decision will be final and binding.

4. QUIZ

General rules and regulations

  • The quiz is open to all registered conference participants.
  • Each team shall consist of maximum 3 participants.
  • The quiz will consist of multiple rounds, including written and interactive rounds.
  • ⁠For buzzer rounds, the first valid buzzer press will be considered. Any malfunction will be handled at the Quiz Master’s discretion.
  • The Quiz Master’s decision will be final and binding.
  • The time limit for answering each question will be announced before the respective round. Teams failing to respond within the allotted time will forfeit the question.
  • No electronic devices (mobile phones, smartwatches, tablets, etc.) or study materials are permitted during the quiz.
  • Any form of unfair practice or misconduct will lead to immediate disqualification.
  • Questions will primarily cover pharmacy, clinical practice, pharmacology, healthcare, current affairs in medicine, and general aptitude.
  • In case of a tie, a tie-breaker round will determine the winner.
  • Participants are expected to maintain discipline and follow the instructions of the organizing committee.
  • The organizing committee reserves the right to modify the rules if required.
  • Winners will be announced at the end of the event.

Written Round

  • A set of written questions will be given to each team, to be answered within a specified time limit.
  • Answers should be neatly and clearly written on the answer sheets provided.
  • Answer sheets must be submitted to the organizers when time is up.

Oral Round

  • Teams will move on to the oral round depending on their performance in the written round.
  • During the oral round, each team will be asked questions in turn.
  • Teams will have a set time to discuss and give their answer.
  • Interruptions or consulting with anyone outside the team will result in disqualification.
  • The organizing committee reserves the right to disqualify any team found violating the rules or engaging in misconduct.

About Department of Pharmacy Practice

The Department of Pharmacy Practice was started in 2010, which offers various clinical pharmacy activities in two teaching hospitals in Bengaluru, and provides extension services to the community through various outreach activities. The department offers drug information services through its Drug Information Centre. The department also equips these students to perform pharmaceutical care activities that benefit the patient population in collaboration with ESIC PGIMSR& Model Hospital Rajajinagar, Bengaluru. The department has its own Adverse Drug Reactions Monitoring Centre which was started from 2022 under the supervision of Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission under PvPI.
