About the Program

The National Librarian’s Day celebration, organized by the ABMRCP Library Committee and the Library & Information Center, is a tribute to the invaluable contributions of librarians and information professionals in promoting knowledge, education, and research. Observed in honor of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, the father of Library Science in India, this program aims to highlight the evolving role of libraries in the digital era and recognize the dedication of librarians in shaping academic and intellectual communities.

Objectives of the Program

  • To create awareness among the users about the National Librarian’s day.
  • To pay a tribute to Padmashri Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, the father of Library Science in India and who has spearheaded library development in India.
  • To thank librarians for their valuable service.
