About the Program

International Yoga Day @ Acharya is envisioned as a community wellness initiative bringing together students, faculty, and staff under one platform to celebrate the timeless practice of yoga. Through guided sessions led by certified instructors, participants will engage in breathing exercises, yoga asanas, and mindfulness practices that contribute to overall well-being.

Objectives of the Program

  • Promote awareness about the significance of yoga in maintaining physical and mental health.
  • Encourage students and staff to adopt healthy lifestyle practices.
  • Enhance concentration, emotional stability, and stress management skills.
  • Foster a culture of wellness and mindfulness within the Acharya community.
  • Celebrate International Yoga Day through collective participation and community engagement.

Expected Outcomes of the Program

  • Participation of approximately 500–600 members of the Acharya community in a unified yoga session.
  • Increased awareness regarding preventive healthcare and holistic well-being.
  • Improved understanding of yoga techniques that can be incorporated into daily life.
  • Enhanced sense of community, discipline, and collective responsibility towards health.
  • Motivation among participants to continue practicing yoga regularly for long-term physical and mental wellness.
  • Strengthening Acharya's commitment towards nurturing healthy, mindful, and socially responsible individuals.
