Event Glimpse

Acharya successfully hosted the Teachers’ Day Celebration 2026, bringing faculty and staff together through sports, teamwork, camaraderie, and friendly competition. Featuring racquet sports, team games, and cricket, the celebration fostered stronger connections beyond the classroom and marked Teachers’ Day with enthusiasm and team spirit.

Sports Line-Up

• Badminton: 24^th – 28^th August 2026 Bring your agility, precision and competitive spirit to the court.
• Table Tennis: 24^th – 28^th August 2026 Quick rallies, sharp reflexes and friendly competition.
• Tug of War: 24^th – 28^th August 2026 Strength meets teamwork in a true test of collective spirit.
• Box Cricket: 31^st August – 1^st September 2026 Fast-paced cricket, big energy and plenty of team spirit.
• Throwball: 31^st August – 1^st September 2026 A team game built around coordination, strategy and fun.
• Volleyball: 31^st August – 1^st September 2026 Serve, rally and compete as teams come together on the court.
• Men’s Cricket: 2^nd – 3^rd September 2026 The ultimate team contest leading into the Teachers’ Day celebrations.
• Teachers’ Day Celebration: 4^th September 2026 The week-long sporting spirit comes together in a special celebration honouring the people who inspire, guide and shape the Acharya community.

Team Formation

Faculty and staff members can come together to form teams for the various team events. Departments and institutions may combine to form teams, with no limit on the number of teams, subject to sufficient participation. Where an individual department does not have enough members to form a team, members may join the respective departments/institutions listed below:

• ASD
• Architecture & PUC
• AIT & Central Library
• Physiotherapy
• AIHS
• Polytechnic
• AIGS
• Pharmacy
• Nursing
• CPRD, Accounts & HR Department
• All Administrative Staff, Purchase & Systems Department
• Housekeeping, Maintenance, Hostel & Transport

Mutual interchange of faculty/staff members between the Supporting Departments may also be permitted with approval from the respective Department Head.
