About the Program

The Department of Allied Health Sciences is organizing an IPR Awareness Program on 30th March from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM with the objective of sensitizing faculty and PG students to the importance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in academic and professional practice. The session aims to provide a foundational understanding of various forms of IPR and their relevance to the Allied Health Sciences domain, including areas such as diagnostics, clinical research, and academic content development.

The program will particularly emphasize practical and achievable aspects of IPR, highlighting the role of collaboration in innovation. Through expert insights and relevant examples, participants will be guided on how to identify and protect their intellectual contributions, thereby, fostering a culture of ethical research, creativity, and knowledge ownership.

Objectives of the Program

  • To create awareness about the basics of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) among Allied Health Sciences faculty and students.
  • To highlight IPR opportunities in the Allied Health Sciences field, with emphasis on collaboration.
  • To encourage a culture of ethical research, originality, and protection of intellectual work.

Expected Outcomes of the Program

  • Participants will understand the different types of IPR and their relevance to their field.
  • Participants will be able to identify practical IPR opportunities, especially in copyrights and academic outputs.
  • Participants will be motivated to engage in collaborative and ethical innovation practices.
