Dr. Shreekeerthy B N, a distinguished academic and poet, serves as a Professor in the Department of English at Bangalore University, Jnanabharathi. With an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Mysore, he brings over two decades of teaching and research expertise. His scholarly contributions include 18 research publications, 6 book chapters, and one authored book. A seasoned speaker, he has delivered 15 invited lectures and presented papers at 14 seminars. A translator and creative writer, Dr. Shreekeerthy has also undertaken a research project, showcasing his commitment to advancing literary studies and fostering academic excellence.
Dr. Renu Elizabeth Abraham is a distinguished academic in the School of Arts and Humanities, specializing in cultural studies, popular culture, and literature. Holding an M.A. and M.Phil., she has an extensive publication record, including research articles in prestigious journals like Rupkatha Journal on Interdisciplinary Studies in Humanities. Her research explores themes such as cultural representation, digital fan writing, and eco-storytelling. A prolific speaker, Dr. Abraham has presented at international and national conferences on topics ranging from posthumanism to the politics of cultural homogenization. She has also chaired and moderated numerous academic discussions. Her academic contributions extend to mentoring research scholars and curating interdisciplinary studies. She has actively participated in faculty development programs, workshops, and research initiatives on contemporary pedagogy, graphic novels, and digital humanities. Through her scholarship, Dr. Abraham continues to shape critical discourse in literature, media studies, and cultural theory.
Dr. Narasimha Murthy S V Padmashali is an accomplished Associate Professor at Presidency University, Bangalore, with over 30 years of teaching and research experience. His expertise spans African, Canadian, and business literature, along with communication skills. Holding a PhD in post-apartheid South African literature from Dravidian University, he has taught at universities in India, Eritrea, and Libya. As a research supervisor, he has mentored multiple PhD scholars and served as an adjudicator for several dissertations. Dr. Murthy has contributed significantly to academia, with publications covering diverse topics such as African literature, gender studies, post- colonialism, and digital language learning. He actively engages in initiatives promoting literature and culture and has been involved in state government cultural activities. His teaching philosophy emphasizes personal connections over technology, believing that rapport and genuine engagement enhance learning. His extensive academic contributions continue to shape the field of English literature and language studies.
Mrs. Ranisha R is a dedicated academic with 16 years of teaching experience. A University Gold Medalist, she holds an M.Phil. in English Literature and is pursuing a Ph.D. at Kuvempu University. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor of English at the College of Forestry, Ponnampet, KSNUAHS. Her expertise lies in Postcolonial Studies, Gender Studies, and Indian Literature. A prolific scholar, she has presented papers, published extensively, and acted as a resource person in seminars and webinars. Additionally, she has been a subject matter expert with TCS iON and contributed to academic committees, organizing conferences, and curriculum development.
Dr. Sushma V. Murthy is Associate Professor at Department of English, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) and teaches Gender Studies, Postcolonial and World Literatures, Cultural Studies and British Literature. She was affiliated to University of Montreal under the Shastri Doctoral Research Fellowship in 2007-08 and secured a doctoral degree in 2014 for her dissertation “The Burnished Phoenix: Lesbian Aesthetics in the Works of Nicole Brossard”, from University of Mysore. Her research interests include queer theory and literature, feminist translation studies, psychoanalytical feminism and trauma narratives by women. Her publications include research articles on feminist translation, transgender aesthetics and queer theory. Currently Dr. Murthy is completing a Major Research Project on select popular fiction of Triveni, a prominent psychoanalytical feminist writer in Kannada. The project examines psycho- cultural aspects of women’s mental health disorders with heightened focus on the gendered narrativisation of trauma in cases of hysteria.
Dr. Bhavani S, PGDTE, MA, MPhil, PhD, is an Associate Professor with extensive expertise in English language teaching, research, and academic writing. She has contributed significantly to periodicals like The Hindu and international journals on employability skills. A dynamic academic, Dr. Bhavani has participated in numerous conferences, including Communication at the Crossroads and National Conference on Language, Literature, and Media, serving as a panelist and presenter. Her research supervision includes studies on language pedagogy, digital storytelling, and narrative spatiality. She has conducted workshops and faculty development programs at prestigious institutions like CHRIST (Deemed to be University) and Jain University, specializing in AI in education, storytelling, and research writing. Recognized for her consultancy in communication and soft skills training, Dr. Bhavani has also been part of the organizing team for academic publishing workshops. Her interdisciplinary approach integrates technology, pedagogy, and critical theory, making her a distinguished voice in contemporary English studies.
Dr. S. Venkateswaran, Former Professor and Director of RIESI, Bengaluru, is a distinguished academic with over 30 years of experience in teaching English language and literature across the five southern states of India. A dedicated mentor, he has guided 10 Ph.D. and nearly 40 M.Phil scholars in ELT and literature. An accomplished author, Dr. Venkateswaran has written several English language books for school learners and played a pivotal role in textbook and curriculum development in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. His expertise extends to teacher training, material production, and research coordination. He has served as Editor of The English Classroom (2008–2015) and on editorial boards of The Literary Endeavour and SV University Journal of English Studies. A frequent keynote speaker and session chair at national and international conferences, he has also contributed to radio lessons for Karnataka teachers and coordinated the multilingual dictionary project at RIESI.
