About the Program
The Department of BBA conducted a Skill Development Programme on “Overview of Corporate Financial Management” with the objective of providing students with practical insights into how financial decisions are made within organizations. The programme was designed to strengthen students’ understanding of financial concepts and their application in real business situations.
This SDP introduced students to the fundamental principles of corporate finance, including financial planning, investment decisions, financing sources, and effective utilization of funds. The session emphasized the role of financial management in maximizing shareholder wealth, maintaining liquidity, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of a business.
Objectives of the Program
- To develop essential workplace skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and professional etiquette required in the business environment.
- To provide practical exposure through activities, case studies, and real-life business situations so students can apply classroom knowledge effectively.
- To encourage leadership qualities, decision-making ability, and entrepreneurial thinking among students.
- To enable students to analyze business problems, evaluate alternatives, and make informed decisions.
Expected Outcomes of the Program
- Students will be able to understand key financial decisions related to investment, financing, and dividend policies in a corporate environment.
- Students will develop the skill to interpret financial statements and evaluate the financial performance and position of a company.
- Improved ability to analyse industry trends and present findings in a structured manner.
- Students will be able to apply concepts such as capital budgeting, cost of capital, and working capital management to practical business situations.

About BBA Department
The Department of Management was established in the year of 2007 with 43 students; it has grown to home more than 800 students on the present date. The Department is a combination of qualified faculty with relevant Industry experience and academicians with rich teaching experience. In tune with the progress of the Institution, the Department has grown in size and stature losing no sight of its objective of producing trained young professionals for Business Management. The challenges imposed by the dynamic nature of business have always kept the department updated, both in its curriculum and faculty, to provide state-of-art education to the students. The Department focuses in enriching entrepreneurship skills among students and has taken several steps in promoting social values among fellow Faculty and students.
