About the Program

This workshop is designed to introduce second-semester engineering students to the fundamentals of the Internet of Things (IoT). It provides a blend of conceptual understanding and hands-on experience, enabling students to explore how everyday objects can be connected, monitored, and controlled using modern technologies. The session will cover basic components such as sensors, microcontrollers, and communication protocols, along with simple real-time applications.

Objectives of the Program

  • To introduce students to the basic concepts and architecture of IoT systems.
  • To develop problem-solving skills through real-world IoT use cases.
  • To provide hands-on exposure to simple IoT-based projects and applications.

Expected Outcomes of the Program

  • Understand the working principles and architecture of IoT systems.
  • Develop simple IoT applications or prototypes.
  • Apply IoT concepts to solve basic real-world problems.

Target Audience: First year ISE and DS students
