About the Program

This FDP is designed to educate individuals about the importance and application of universal human values in various aspects of life such as promoting ethics and morality, enhancing interpersonal relationships, building a cohesive society, contributing to global peace and harmony, fostering personal development and addressing contemporary challenges. Overall this FDP will play a crucial role in nurturing individuals who not only excel professionally but also contribute positively to their communities and the world at large.

About Institute

Acharya Institute of Technology (AIT), established in 2000 with the motto "Nurturing Aspirations and Supporting Growth," is dedicated to providing value-based, quality education aligned with global standards in technical education. The institute offers a wide range of programs, including 12 undergraduate, 2 postgraduate, and 11 Ph.D. programs. AIT is affiliated with the prestigious Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, approved by AICTE, and recognized under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act. Out of nine eligible UG programs six are accredited by NBA. AIT received a 3.5-star IIC rating and ranked 151–300 in NIRFInnovation for excellence in innovation and startups. With a student strength of over 4500, AIT fosters a vibrant campus life enriched with various events and activities that enhance organizational,leadership, and teamwork skills. Objectives of the Program

  • To enable participants to explore and understand themselves better through the process of self-exploration.
  • To cultivate a holistic understanding of life, harmony in existence, and sustainable living.
  • To prepare faculty to effectively deliver UHV-II courses to students with clarity, conviction, and compassion.
  • To support the integration of human values into education, fostering responsible and ethical individuals.

Expected Outcomes of the Program

  • Deepen Understanding of Human Values: Gain a clear and experiential understanding of key human values such as truth, love, peace, non-violence, and righteousness, and their role in both personal and professional life.
  • Internalize Universal Human Values: Develop a reflective attitude and internal clarity regarding the purpose of education and life, enabling participants to guide students more effectively.
  • Apply UHV Framework in Teaching: Learn practical methods to integrate Universal Human Values into their respective subjects and curricula across disciplines.
  • Enhance Student Engagement: Acquire tools to foster ethical sensitivity, mutual respect, and a spirit of inquiry among students through value-based teaching practices.
