About the Program

"Beyond the Binary: A Pride Month Initiative" is a celebration and educational campaign dedicated to honoring and affirming the diverse identities that exist beyond traditional gender norms. This initiative seeks to create a safe, inclusive, and informed space for all individuals especially those who identify as transgender, non-binary, genderqueer, or gender-nonconforming.

Objectives of the Program

  • To officially commence Pride Month with a message of inclusivity, respect, and equality
  • To raise awareness about LGBTQIA+ rights, identities, and the importance of allyship.
  • To create a safe, expressive space for LGBTQIA+ students, faculty, and allies to share their voices.
  • To promote institutional commitment toward diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Expected Outcomes of the Program

  • Participants gain a deeper understanding and empathy toward the LGBTQIA+ community.
  • Increased visibility and representation of LGBTQIA+ individuals within the campus environment.
  • Enhanced student engagement through open dialogue, cultural performances, and storytelling.
