About Program
The "GATE-JAM Outreach Session by IISc Bengaluru" session conducted to provide students with valuable insights into effective GATE preparation strategies through the real-life experiences of a successful alumnus. The session covered key aspects such as understanding the GATE examination pattern, strategic study planning, time management, subject-wise preparation, and common mistakes to avoid. Through practical tips, personal experiences, and an interactive question-and-answer session, the program motivated students to approach GATE preparation with confidence, consistency, and a focused mindset, enabling them to plan their preparation effectively and pursue higher education and career opportunities through GATE.
Objectives of the Program
- To familiarize students with the GATE and JAM examination structure, eligibility, preparation strategies, and the academic and career opportunities available after qualifying these national-level exams.
- To provide insights into postgraduate programs, research opportunities, scholarships, and admissions at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and other premier institutes, encouraging students to pursue higher studies and research careers.
- To inspire students through expert guidance and interaction with IISc faculty or representatives, helping them develop a clear roadmap for competitive exam preparation, research, innovation, and professional growth.
