About the Program

The Hands-on Session on “Mathematics Research in Action” is designed to introduce first-year BE students to the practical and dynamic nature of mathematics beyond classroom learning. This session aims to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world applications by engaging students in interactive activities, problem-solving tasks, and exploratory learning.

Through guided exercises and collaborative work, participants will gain insight into how mathematical ideas are applied in engineering, technology, and research domains. analytical thinking in solving real-life problems.

Students will also be exposed to basic research methodologies, including problem identification, formulation of hypotheses, data interpretation, and presentation of findings. The hands-on approach encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking, helping students develop a research-oriented mindset from the early stages of their academic journey.

Objectives of the Program

  • To introduce students to Explore the research areas of Mathematics which has impact on the Technology and Innovation.
  • To engage students in a hands-on exercise to do case study on the selected topic.
  • To foster analysis and critical thinking of research topics.
  • To encourage innovative applications of math in emerging engineering challenges.

Expected Outcomes of the Program

  • Identify contemporary research areas in Mathematics and explain their specific impacts on modern technology and industrial innovation.
  • Observe and highlight interdisciplinary applications of mathematics.
