Industrial Automation using PLC and SCADA
About the Program
This value-added program equips students with practical skills in PLC and SCADA-based industrial automation. Through hands-on training with real-time tools and components, students gain industry-relevant experience. It enhances their technical competency, problem-solving ability, and overall employability in automation and control domains.
Objectives of the Program
- To provide foundational knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), SCADA systems and their roles in industrial automation.
- To enable students to design and implement automation logic using PLCs and SCADA tools for real-world industrial applications.
- To bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practices through hands-on training with sensors, actuators, communication protocols, and HMI integration.
Expected Outcomes of the Program
- Explain the architecture, operation and industrial applications of PLC and SCADA systems.
- Develop and implement ladder logic programs and real-time control solutions for automation tasks.
- Demonstrate technical skills and industry readiness through practical problem-solving in automation and control systems.
