About the Program
The Session on Innovation and Start-up Ecosystem Enablers is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the entrepreneurial landscape and the resources available to nurture innovative ideas into successful ventures. This session focuses on the role of ecosystem enablers such as incubators, accelerators, funding agencies, government initiatives, and industry partnerships in supporting start-up growth.
Objectives of the Program
- To create awareness among students, faculty, and aspiring entrepreneurs about the opportunities and challenges in the start-up ecosystem.
- To understand the role of ecosystem enablers such as incubators, accelerators, venture capitalists, and government initiatives in fostering innovation.
- To explore strategies for translating innovative ideas into viable and sustainable businesses.
- To encourage cross-disciplinary collaboration, mentorship, and networking for nurturing start-ups.
Expected Outcomes of the Program
- Understand and apply the principles of prototype and process design in the context of biotechnology.
- Design and model simple biotech-related systems or devices using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Work effectively in interdisciplinary teams to brainstorm, design, and troubleshoot prototypes.
- Evaluate design feasibility, scalability, and sustainability in biotech applications.
