About Program
Acharya Institute of Technology will observe International Literacy Day with the aim of creating awareness about the importance of literacy and education in building a better society. The programme will be organized around the theme “Literacy for People, the Planet and Prosperity,” highlighting the role of literacy in empowering individuals, protecting the environment, and promoting social and economic development.
The programme will encourage students to understand how literacy can help people make informed decisions, access better opportunities, and contribute positively to their communities.
The event will emphasize that literacy is more than just the ability to read and write. It is a powerful tool for empowerment, equality, sustainable development, and prosperity, encouraging everyone to value education and contribute towards a more literate, inclusive, and sustainable world.
Objectives of the Program
- To encourage students to develop regular reading habits.
- To help students understand how literacy supports learning about the environment, society, and everyday life.
- To encourage students to use reading and writing to express their ideas, observations, and opinions.
