About the Program

Objectives of the Program

  • To provide a comprehensive understanding of the anatomy and physiology of fascial tissue and its role in musculoskeletal dysfunction
  • To develop the ability to assess and identify fascial restrictions using postural analysis, movement assessment, and palpation
  • To train participants in foundational Myofascial Release (MFR) techniques such as skin rolling, cross-hand release, longitudinal release, and J-stroke.
  • To enable participants to integrate MFR into physiotherapy practice for MSK conditions
  • To promote evidence-based clinical reasoning in the selection and application of MFR techniques

Expected Outcomes of the Program

  • Articulate the anatomical and physiological basis of fascial tissue and its clinical relevance in musculoskeletal dysfunction.
  • Identify and systematically assess fascial restrictions using postural evaluation, movement analysis, and palpation.
  • Perform foundational MFR techniques — skin rolling, cross-hand release, longitudinal release, J-stroke — with appropriate pressure and body mechanics.
  • Integrate MFR into comprehensive physiotherapy management for common musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions.
  • Analyse and select appropriate MFR techniques using evidence-based clinical reasoning
