About the Program

Simulation-based learning is an innovative teaching approach that allows nursing students to apply theoretical knowledge in a realistic and safe environment. It replicates real-life clinical scenarios using manikins, virtual patients, standardized actors, and advanced simulation technology. Through guided practice and reflection, students develop critical thinking, decision-making, and psychomotor skills before handling real patients in clinical settings. Simulation-based learning bridges the gap between classroom learning and clinical practice, promoting confidence, competence, and professional readiness among nursing students. It provides an opportunity for learners to make mistakes, analyse outcomes, and learn corrective actions without compromising patient safety.

Meeting Objectives

  • Develop students’ ability to perform clinical procedures accurately and efficiently.
  • Encourage analytical reasoning, prioritization, and decision-making in complex clinical situations.
  • Foster effective communication, collaboration, and leadership within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Integrate classroom learning with clinical application through realistic simulation experiences.
  • Develop self-assessment and reflection skills through debriefing sessions after each simulation activity.

Learning Outcomes

  • Perform nursing procedures accurately according to established standards and protocols.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care effectively in simulated clinical situations.
  • Interact professionally with peers, instructors, and other healthcare team members during simulation exercises.
  • Exhibit confidence and readiness to handle real-world clinical challenges with minimal supervision.
