About the Program
The Awareness Session on World Osteoporosis Day is organized to educate participants about bone health, prevention of osteoporosis, and the importance of early detection. The session includes expert insights on nutrition, lifestyle modifications, and exercise to strengthen bones and reduce the risk of fractures. It aims to promote awareness, encourage healthy habits, and empower individuals to take proactive steps toward maintaining strong bone health.
Meeting Objectives
- To create awareness among students and the public about osteoporosis and its impact on bone health.
- To educate participants on preventive measures, including adequate calcium and vitamin D intake, physical activity, and healthy lifestyle habits.
- To emphasize the importance of early detection and screening for osteoporosis, especially among postmenopausal women and the elderly.
- To promote knowledge about risk factors contributing to bone loss and fractures.
