About the Program
The National Service Scheme (NSS) Special Camping Programme - 2026 is an initiative aimed at fostering community development and social responsibility among students and volunteers. Through a series of activities and awareness campaigns, the program seeks to promote health, hygiene, and sustainability inrural and underserved areas. This five-day camp will provide participants with a platform to engage in meaningful community service while gaining valuable experiences.
Special Camping forms an integral part of National Service Scheme. It has special appeal to the youth as it provides unique opportunities to the students for group living, collective experience sharing and constant interaction with community.
Objectives of the Program
- To inculcate social responsibility and leadership qualities among students
- To promote community health awareness and preventive care
- To develop students’ communication, teamwork, and service skills
- To strengthen institution–community partnership
- To contribute towards Swachh Bharat, Mental Health Promotion, and Health
Education
Expected Outcome of the Program
- Improved awareness of health and hygiene practices among the community and school children.
- Enhanced community engagement and participation in sustainable activities.
- Delivery of essential health services to underserved populations.
- Development of leadership and teamwork skills among NSS volunteers.
- Strengthening of the bond between educational institutions and local communities.
Target Audience: Community area of PHC, CHC, School students and village peoples
