About Program

The OBT/IBT (Outdoor-Based Training/Indoor-Based Training) Programme is an experiential learning component of the Student Induction Programme at Smt. Nagarathanamma College & School of Nursing. It is designed to provide newly admitted students with meaningful experiences beyond the conventional classroom environment.

Through outdoor activities, team-building exercises, indoor interactive sessions, group discussions, problem-solving tasks and leadership activities, students are encouraged to develop communication, collaboration, confidence, creativity and decision-making skills.

The programme also helps students overcome inhibitions, build healthy peer relationships and understand the importance of teamwork and professional behaviour. Overall, OBT/IBT facilitates a smooth transition into college life and prepares students for their academic, personal and professional journey.
