Our Nurses. Our future. “Caring for nurses strengthens economies”
About the Program
International Nurses Day is celebrated every year on May 12, the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. This day honors the incredible contributions that nurses make to society and the healthcare system. Nurses are the backbone of medical care, offering compassion, strength, and skilled support to patients in their most vulnerable moments.
The day serves as a reminder of the vital role nurses play in promoting health, preventing illness, and caring for individuals across all settings-from hospitals and clinics to homes and communities.
