The Parents–Teacher Meeting (PTM) for the 1st Semester B.Sc Nursing students is proposed with the aim of establishing effective communication and collaboration between parents and faculty members. This meeting serves as an important platform to orient parents about the academic structure, curriculum, attendance requirements, internal assessment pattern, clinical postings, hostel rules, and overall institutional expectations.
During the meeting, faculty members will present an overview of the students’ academic progress, classroom behavior, attendance status, and adaptation to the nursing curriculum. Parents will be encouraged to share their observations, concerns, and suggestions regarding their wards, thereby promoting a supportive academic and personal environment for the students.
Special emphasis will be given to guiding parents on how their involvement and encouragement can positively influence students’ academic performance, discipline, emotional well-being, and professional development. The meeting will also help in strengthening mutual trust and cooperation between parents and teachers, which is essential for the holistic development of nursing students.
The proposed Parents–Teacher Meeting will contribute significantly to early identification of academic or personal challenges faced by first-semester students and enable timely guidance, counseling, and necessary interventions.
