About Program

Smt. Nagarathnamma College of Nursing presents World Heart Day, promoting cardiovascular health, disease prevention, healthy lifestyles, and awareness of heart disease risk factors. The program highlights heart attack warning signs, CPR, emergency first aid, balanced nutrition, physical activity, stress management, and regular health check-ups.

Objectives of the Program

  • To create awareness among students and the public about cardiovascular diseases and their prevention.
  • To educate participants about major heart-disease risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, obesity, smoking, unhealthy diet, physical inactivity and stress.
  • To promote healthy lifestyle practices including regular physical activity, balanced nutrition, adequate sleep and stress management.
  • To create awareness about the warning signs of heart attack and stroke and the importance of seeking emergency medical care.
  • To improve awareness and basic skills related to CPR and emergency first aid.
