Objectives of the Program

• To create awareness about the role of anaesthesiology throughout the entire patient pathway-before, during and beyond surgery.
• To highlight the role of anaesthesia professionals in perioperative care, including patient assessment, risk identification and optimisation before surgery.
• To emphasise the contribution of anaesthesiology during surgery in providing safe anaesthesia, airway management, monitoring, haemodynamic stability and patient safety.
• To showcase the expanding role of anaesthesiology beyond the operating room, including emergency and prehospital care, intensive care, non-operating room anaesthesia and pain services.
• To encourage students to appreciate the multidisciplinary nature of anaesthesia practice and their role as future anaesthesia professionals.
• To inspire professional learning, innovation and research related to perioperative, critical care and pain management.
