About the Program

SANKALP – a 5-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Innovative Pedagogy and Curriculum Design in Outcome-Based Education” is designed to equip educators with cutting-edge tools, strategies, and insights to enhance teaching effectiveness in alignment with Outcome-Based Education (OBE) principles.

Objectives of the Program

  • To familiarize faculty members with the core principles and framework of Outcome-Based Education (OBE).
  • To enable participants to design course outcomes (COs), program outcomes (POs), and program-specific outcomes (PSOs) aligned with institutional vision and mission.
  • To introduce innovative and learner-centric pedagogical methods suitable for OBE, including flipped classrooms, project-based learning, and active learning strategies.
  • To guide faculty in designing curriculum and syllabi that integrate 21st-century skills and map effectively with COs and POs.
  • To provide hands-on experience in curriculum mapping, attainment calculation, and closing the loop for continuous improvement.

Expected Outcomes of the Program

  • Faculties will gain a clear understanding of OBE philosophy, terminology (COs, POs, PSOs), and its relevance to quality education and accreditation.
  • Faculty members will be able to formulate well-structured COs, POs, and PSOs, and align them with institutional goals and national standards (NBA/NAAC).
  • Faculties will be equipped to implement modern teaching methodologies that foster active learning, collaboration, and student engagement.
  • Faculty will be able to revise or develop course syllabi that embed critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and digital literacy while ensuring outcome alignment.
  • Faculties will demonstrate the ability to perform CO-PO mapping, calculate attainment levels, and suggest actionable improvements based on data analysis.
