About the Program

The Smt. Nagarathnamma College of Nursing, a constituent of Acharya Institutes, organized a First Aid Workshop for Aviation students to enhance their emergency response skills and ensure passenger safety. Titled “First Aid and Emergency Preparedness in Aviation,” the programme focused on equipping students with essential knowledge and practical skills required during in-flight and ground emergencies. The session included training on CPR, Basic Life Support, and management of emergencies such as choking, bleeding, burns, fractures, and fainting, building confidence and professional competence among students.

Objectives of the Program

  • To provide knowledge on basic principles of first aid in aviation settings.
  • To train students in CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) techniques.
  • To develop skills in managing in-flight medical emergencies such as choking, bleeding, burns, fractures, and fainting.
  • To enhance quick decision-making and crisis management abilities.
  • To promote passenger safety awareness and professional responsibility among aviation students.

Expected Outcomes of the Program

  • Participants will demonstrate correct CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) techniques.
  • Students will confidently manage common in-flight emergencies such as choking, bleeding, burns, fractures, and fainting.
  • Improved ability to respond quickly and calmly during medical emergencies.
  • Enhanced decision-making and crisis management skills in aviation settings.
  • Increased awareness of passenger safety and professional responsibility.
  • Development of teamwork and effective communication during emergency situations.
