About the Program

World Food Safety Day is observed annually to raise awareness about the importance of safe food practices in preventing foodborne illnesses and ensuring public health. Food safety is a shared responsibility involving producers, manufacturers, vendors, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and consumers. The program aims to educate participants on safe food handling, storage, preparation, and consumption practices while highlighting the role of food safety in promoting health, preventing disease, and achieving sustainable development goals. Through expert discussions and awareness activities, the event encourages individuals to make informed choices and adopt practices that ensure food remains safe from farm to table.
