About the Program

Climate change is one of the most pressing global health challenges of the 21st century. It significantly impacts human health through rising temperatures, extreme weather events, changing disease patterns, and environmental degradation.

This national seminar aims to create awareness and build competencies among healthcare professionals, especially nurses, to address climate-related health issues effectively. The program will provide insights into emerging health risks, sustainable healthcare practices, and the critical role of nurses in climate action and disaster preparedness.

Objectives of the Program

  • To enhance understanding of the impact of climate change on human health.
  • To explore the relationship between climate change and emerging infectious and non-communicable diseases.
  • To discuss maternal and child health challenges in the context of climate change.
  • To provide knowledge on disaster management and climate-related emergencies.
  • To promote sustainable healthcare practices and green hospital initiatives.
  • To empower nurses to take active roles in climate action and environmental health advocacy.
