About the Program
This community activity plan is designed to promote scientific awareness, preventive healthcare, and healthy practices among the general population. It focuses on evidence-based interventions, active community participation, and sustainable health behaviors. Special focus is given to community-based activities such as health education, sanitation awareness, safe water practices, and lifestyle modification, ensuring that scientific knowledge reaches the grassroots level. The program promotes critical thinking, encourages questioning of myths, and supports informed decision-making among the public.
Objectives of the Program
- To create awareness about the importance of personal and environmental sanitation
- To educate the community on safe drinking water practices
- To promote hygienic behaviours such as handwashing and waste management
- To reduce the incidence of waterborne diseases
- To encourage the adoption of low-cost, effective purification methods at the household level
