World Suicide Prevention Day is conducted by Smt. Nagarathnamma College of Nursing to raise awareness about suicide prevention, promote mental well-being, and encourage individuals and communities to recognize the importance of early support. The programme aims to reduce stigma surrounding emotional distress and help participants understand how to identify warning signs, communicate empathetically, and connect individuals with appropriate professional and community support.
The programme will emphasize that suicide prevention is a shared responsibility involving individuals, families, educational institutions, healthcare professionals, and the community.
